Our Story

Rocoto Peruvian & Mexican Grill began on June 17th, 2019 in the small county of Red Lion, Pennsylvania. We choose the name “Rocoto” because it symbolizes the kind of chili pepper of the species that is grown in Peru. Owners and their family members came to the United States from a small country located in South America known as, Peru.

Owners Edgar and Maria Ayala’s main focus was to own a Peruvian and Mexican restaurant where their delicious cuisine would be exposed to the local community. Rocoto is built with close family members working together to honor the idea of customers and quality coming first. Honoring the customers is our primary goal by providing them with the freshest, most delicious, and authentic meal experience possible.

We take pride in baking and serving our warm Empanadas, while offering a selection of Mexican cuisine; such as tacos, burritos, and fajitas. Our passion ensures you have a marvelous experience every time you stop in. We hope to see you soon!
